Connecting in Kitakyushu: Industry and Community Collaboration for GX Co-Creation
The Kitakyushu GX Promotion Consortium is set to participate in the upcoming
Energy Innovation Expo, showcasing how local regions and companies can work together for green transformation (GX) through co-creation efforts. Under the theme "Connecting in Kitakyushu," the consortium aims to highlight its initiatives and activities aimed at facilitating new partnerships and collaborations for practical implementations of GX in society.
GX is not just about ideas and technological development; it requires a collaborative space aimed at social implementation. The Kitakyushu GX Promotion Consortium has been steadily expanding its reach by facilitating partnerships among businesses, research institutions, and local government entities, transcending traditional boundaries in the region. At the
Energy Innovation Expo, the consortium will focus on its practical efforts in GX co-creation in Kitakyushu.

About the Kitakyushu GX Promotion Consortium
Established in December 2023, the Kitakyushu GX Promotion Consortium was formed to see carbon neutrality as an opportunity for growth, involving all sectors—industry, academia, government, and finance—in a unified approach toward promoting GX. Starting with approximately 100 members, it has expanded to around 380, fostering a collaborative environment across varying company sizes and industries. The consortium promotes accelerated GX initiatives through the sharing of information, personnel exchanges, and focused ventures aimed at practical implementation and social substantiation. Research and Development Initiatives
The consortium’s strategic aim is to maximize social implementation opportunities for GX. To achieve this, thematic research committees have been established to explore potential collaborative projects and real-world applications. At the expo, attendees will learn about the initiatives from the "Automotive Committee" and the "Next-Generation Fuels and Carbon Recycling Committee."
