BRI Achieves Significant Profit Milestone



PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, also known as BRI, recently released its financial performance for the third quarter of 2025, showcasing a remarkable net profit of IDR 41.2 trillion. This achievement reflects BRI's strategic position in supporting Indonesia's economic growth, particularly in driving the people's economy.

In a press conference held on October 30, 2025, BRI's President Director, Hery Gunardi, attributed the impressive results to stable macroeconomic conditions and an increase in loan demand. He noted, "BRI is poised for growth, bolstered by lower funding costs and improved liquidity."

The bank's total assets surged by 8.2% year-on-year (YoY), reaching IDR 2,123.4 trillion, while loans increased by 6.3% YoY to IDR 1,438.1 trillion. Additionally, the third-party funds saw a significant boost, climbing 8.2% YoY to IDR 1,474.8 trillion. BRI's Current Account-Savings Account ratio improved to 67.6%, and key indicators such as the Capital Adequacy Ratio reached an impressive 25.4%, alongside a Non-Performing Loan ratio of 3.08% which indicates the quality and stability of BRI's loan portfolio.

Digital banking initiatives have played a crucial role in BRI’s growth, with the number of BRImo users increasing by 19.4% YoY, totaling 44.4 million users. The transaction volume through this platform surged by 25.6% to IDR 5,067.1 trillion. BRI’s Qlola application reported a remarkable growth rate of 35.4% YoY, while both merchant and QRIS transaction volumes saw significant increases of 20.8% and an astonishing 133.1% YoY, respectively.

In alignment with national efforts to enhance community welfare and bolster economic resilience, BRI is actively participating in government programs targeted at inclusive economic growth and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) empowerment. Notably, through the People's Business Credit (KUR) initiative, BRI has disbursed IDR 130.2 trillion to 2.8 million borrowers, significantly impacting local economies.

Further contributing to social welfare, BRI has supported the Free Nutritious Meal Program by aiding 3,854 community kitchens with financial assistance totaling IDR 104.4 billion. The bank also played a vital role in housing initiatives, providing IDR 15.07 trillion in loans to help 110,000 low-income families secure homes.

Additionally, BRI has distributed IDR 2.25 trillion in Wage Subsidy Assistance (BLT) benefiting 3.7 million individuals. The bank's involvement in the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program demonstrates its commitment to nurturing local communities.

Through its various empowerment programs, BRI has established a robust ecosystem that serves 34.5 million borrowers and oversees 185 million savings accounts. The BRILink Agent network has expanded to include 1.2 million agents across 66,000 villages, facilitating transactions valued at IDR 1,293.5 trillion and improving financial access in remote areas.

Furthering community-centric development projects, the BRILian Village program has grown, impacting 4,909 villages. The KlasterkuHidupku initiative supports 41,715 business clusters, and the LinkUMKM program empowers 13.6 million MSMEs by providing digital market access.
