Summary of the 11th Kansai Education ICT Exhibition
The International Edutainment Association, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is excited to announce its participation in the 11th Kansai Education ICT Exhibition. This event is organized by the Japan Association for Educational Information Promotion, the Osaka International Economic Promotion Center, TV Osaka, and TV Osaka Expo. It serves as a platform to propose the introduction and effective use of ICT in educational settings.
What to Expect
During the exhibition, held from July 31st, the association will present two key offerings aimed at enhancing the information literacy of elementary and middle school students: the "Jokatsu" diagnostic service, which assesses students' information utilization abilities, and the "Jokatsu Quest" educational content designed to cultivate these skills.
Our booth, located at Exhibition Zone 304, will feature these groundbreaking services. Additionally, a special seminar will be conducted featuring Mr. Takanori Ishihara, the Chief of the Future Education Division at the Higashi-Osaka Board of Education. His presentation, titled "Visualizing Information Utilization Abilities and Practical Cases from Higashi-Osaka City," will be held on July 31st from 10:30 to 11:00 at Seminar Stage D.
Special Seminar Details
In this seminar, Mr. Ishihara will discuss the visualization of information literacy skills in the age of one device per student. By analyzing accumulated data from over 50,000 assessments, he will provide insights into practical approaches for cultivating these essential skills in students. This is a crucial topic as the GIGA School initiative evolves, underscoring the increasing importance of fostering sound information literacy among children and effectively utilizing foundational data.
