In an age where vehicle theft remains a pressing concern, Autel is stepping up its game with a newly announced integration of the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Secure Data Release Model (SDRM) validation protocols. This initiative is designed to bolster vehicle security while maintaining essential support for automotive locksmiths and repair technicians.

The Phased Rollout of Integration



Scheduled to hit the market starting Q3 of 2026, the first tools to incorporate these protocols will be part of the Autel KM100 platform. Following this, additional key programming and immobilizer tools will also see similar upgrades in subsequent phases. Autel's approach reflects a careful balancing act, ensuring that legitimate automotive professionals can successfully navigate security measures required for seamless operations.
