Nutex Health Inc., a pioneering healthcare delivery system with a blend of micro-hospitals and outpatient departments across various states, recently revealed the appointment of Wesley Bamburg as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). This move is expected to enhance the company’s operational prowess, which is crucial for its expansive growth strategy. Effective from October 13, 2025, Bamburg's extensive background in healthcare operations positions him as a key player in Nutex’s mission to provide top-tier patient care.

With two decades of experience in Fortune 500 companies, Bamburg brings a wealth of knowledge in business development, integrated network management, and relationship building with physicians. His tenure includes notable roles, such as COO at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress since July 2024 and prior to that, COO at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. These roles have endowed him with significant insights into efficient healthcare operations, particularly in densely populated markets such as Houston, Texas.

Bamburg commenced his journey in healthcare with HCA Healthcare in 2013, advancing to Vice President of Payor Contracting Alignment for the Gulf Coast Division. His experiences span across 11 states, where he has led initiatives in managed care and network operations. This strategic viewpoint from both payor and provider perspectives will be instrumental in enhancing Nutex’s services, as the company strives to remain competitive and forward-thinking in the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

Commenting on his new role, Bamburg expressed enthusiasm about Nutex Health’s innovative and physician-led model. He stated, "The opportunity to join Nutex Health as COO is a tremendous honor. The commitment to a more efficient and patient-centric healthcare experience resonates with my professional values and aspirations. I look forward to contributing to the company's growth alongside the commendable team here."

Dr. Tom Vo, Chairman and CEO of Nutex Health, welcomed the new COO, asserting that Bamburg’s expertise would be a great addition to their already seasoned team. This sentiment is echoed by Jon Bates, CFO, who underscores the value of Bamburg’s background in operations, payor contracting, and physician relations as crucial for strengthening their burgeoning healthcare delivery model.

Nutex Health, founded in 2011 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, has developed a unique position in the healthcare sector. The company operates 24 state-of-the-art facilities across 11 states, leveraging innovative hospital models such as micro-hospitals and specialty services. Its approach focuses on accessibility and quality of care, making significant strides in the field of integrated healthcare delivery.

The company’s dual-division structure comprises a Hospital Division and a Population Health Management Division, allowing them to not only operate healthcare facilities but also manage and support physician networks efficiently. Through their Management Services Organization, they facilitate administrative and other essential services, ensuring the smooth operation of affiliated hospitals and physician groups.

As Nutex Health positions itself for growth, the appointment of Wesley Bamburg as COO is seen as a pivotal step in reinforcing their operational structure. His leadership is anticipated to foster improvements in efficiency and care delivery, aligning perfectly with their vision to redefine community-based hospital care across the country.

In the wake of this leadership change, the healthcare industry watches closely as Nutex Health embarks on this new chapter, one that promises to uphold its commitment to innovative health solutions and exceptional patient experiences.
