On March 16, 2026, Okayama University hosted a significant gathering at Hirosaki University focusing on the cultivation and management of research and development talent. Both universities are part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's J-PEAKS initiative, which aims to bolster distinctive regional research institutions. This meeting marked an important step in their ongoing partnership, enhancing their shared vision for fostering research management capabilities.

Background of the Meeting


Participants from Hirosaki University included Vice President Koichi Murashita, Keiko Sugiyama, an Assistant Professor at the Health Future Innovation Co-Creation Organization, and Satoshi Shoji, the administrative director of the medical research department. Okayama University was represented by its Vice President, Norihito Sato, senior URA specialists, and departmental members from the research and co-creation management divisions. Their discussions revolved around enhancing research communication and addressing shared challenges.

The morning session was dedicated to information dissemination in research. The attendees exchanged insights on best practices and innovative approaches to effectively relay research achievements.
