Foval Secures Continuous Contract for Promoting DX Support for SMEs in Satsumasendai City

Foval's Ongoing Commitment to Supporting SMEs in Satsumasendai City

For the third consecutive year, Foval Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, has been awarded the contract for the "Small and Medium Enterprise DX Support Project" by Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. This initiative is geared towards accelerating the digital transformation (DX) of local SMEs, ensuring that they thrive in an increasingly digital economy.

The project's inception traces back to FY2024, when Foval and Satsumasendai City established a partnership aimed at enhancing the DX capabilities of the city’s SMEs. In the previous year, Foval provided comprehensive support to six selected enterprises by constructing tailored roadmaps that tackled specific challenges. This included visualizing operational flows, integrating IT tools, designing operational strategies, and measuring outcomes, all under a consistent guidance framework.

Satsumasendai City is confronting significant challenges, primarily accelerated population decline and increasing average age of its residents, threatening the sustainability of local enterprises. The initiative, combining efforts from both local government and private sectors, aims to bolster productivity and streamline operations through digital transformation. Foval's mission is to illuminate the management hurdles faced by each company and facilitate the effective adoption of digital solutions.

Additionally, the outcomes of these initiatives will be broadly communicated within the city to promote awareness and adoption of DX practices among other businesses.

Key Elements of the DX Support Program

The DX support project encompasses a series of initiatives aimed at promoting awareness and facilitating the digital transformation of SMEs:

1. DX Understanding and Awareness Seminars: To cultivate interest among local SMEs regarding digital tools and DX, Foval will host seminars providing fundamental knowledge about DX along with case studies and an overview of the project.

This event will serve as a platform for local businesses to discover the benefits and approaches for implementing DX initiatives.
