Discovering the Terroir of Yoichi Wines

Academy du Vin (ADV), headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, will host a special seminar titled "Terroir of YOICHI" on January 24, 2026. This event stems from a comprehensive partnership agreement with Yoichi Town in Hokkaido, designed to promote the unique appeal of Yoichi wines on a global stage.

The seminar aims to showcase Yoichi's growing recognition as a premier wine region, inviting distinguished speakers including Keisuke Saito, the mayor of Yoichi, and Atsuki Yamanaka, the representative of the acclaimed Domaine Mon. Attendees will gain insights into the terroir of Yoichi, the challenges faced by its winemakers, and the future prospects for the region through the lens of wine.

Participants will have the exclusive opportunity to taste four rare wines from Domaine Mon while listening to the winemaker share insights about the current state of Yoichi wines. This is not only a rare occasion but also part of the initiative to broaden the fanbase for Japanese wines through a free invitation lottery for 30 lucky attendees.
