CISOs Connect Launches APAC C25™ to Celebrate Top Cybersecurity Leaders in Asia Pacific

CISOs Connect Launches APAC C25™: Celebrating Cybersecurity Excellence in Asia Pacific

CISOs Connect™ has made a significant stride in recognizing cybersecurity leadership with the introduction of the APAC C25™, a program that honors 25 exemplary Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and equivalent leaders throughout the Asia Pacific region. This initiative is set to elevate awareness of the vital roles these professionals play amid a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

A Milestone for CISO Recognition

The APAC C25™, launched on November 3, 2026, marks the first recognition program of its kind in the Asia Pacific, building on the successful C100 initiative that has highlighted the top 100 cybersecurity executives in the United States and Canada for the past six years. With an increasing demand for robust cybersecurity measures, the APAC C25™ aims not only to honor these leaders but also to inspire future generations in the field.

According to Aimee Rhodes, CEO of CISOs Connect™, the region's diversity presents both challenges and opportunities for security leaders. “Asia Pacific is characterized by varying markets, regulatory environments, and technological stages. In this context, some execs shine brighter due to their impactful leadership,” she stated. The APAC C25™ will officially acknowledge these standout performances in January 2027 at CISOs Connect™ in Singapore.

Nominations and The Selection Process

The nomination process is open now, allowing peers to put forth security leaders who have made significant impacts in their roles. Candidates will be evaluated by an esteemed Board of Judges, comprising experienced professionals across various industries, including finance, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. This transparent and merit-based judging emphasizes qualities such as leadership, business acumen, innovation, and influence.

Among notable judges is Sandeep Taileng, who serves as the chair. With extensive experience in cybersecurity and global standards, the judges aim to identify executives whose leadership styles effectively navigate complex environments shaped by technological advancements and rising geopolitical risks.

Changing Roles in Cybersecurity

The launch of the APAC C25™ comes at a time when the responsibilities of cybersecurity executives are rapidly changing. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing are transforming how security threats are assessed and mitigated. Moreover, the intertwining of various risks including regulatory complexities and rapid technological change requires CISOs to demonstrate exceptional leadership and foresight.

David Cass, the President of CISOs Connect™ and CISO of Grayscale Investments, emphasized the significance of this peer-judged initiative. “The strength of this recognition stems from the decision-makers themselves—practitioners who understand the nuances of exemplary security leadership,” he noted. The peer perspective plays a crucial role in ensuring that the progress and contributions from these professionals are rightly acknowledged.

A Holistic Approach to Security Leadership

Beyond recognition, the APAC C25™ initiative serves to foster a global community where cybersecurity leaders can collaborate and exchange valuable insights. By bridging different markets and regulations, this program aims to create opportunities for networking and growth across the cybersecurity landscape.

The inaugural APAC C25™ is not just about honoring outstanding individuals but also reinforcing the mission of CISOs Connect™. It aims to cultivate a community where security professionals can learn from each other's experiences, advancing the entire profession.

As the inaugural nominations open, CISOs Connect™ invites all eligible candidates to apply and showcases a commitment to elevating cybersecurity leadership throughout the Asia Pacific region.
