Swig Launches 7th Annual Save The Cups Campaign to Fight Breast Cancer

Swig's 7th Annual Save The Cups Campaign

Swig, renowned for its Original Dirty Soda®, is proudly launching its seventh annual Save The Cups campaign, a movement designed to empower women dealing with the challenges of breast cancer. Since its inception in 2020, this initiative has raised nearly $2 million to assist 169 women through their treatment journeys, with ambitions to exceed $650,000 this year alone.

The Heart of Save The Cups

At the core of Save The Cups are powerful personal stories of women facing financial and emotional hardships while battling breast cancer. These narratives not only illustrate the struggles but also highlight the importance of community support.

Kendra Levering from Missouri exemplifies this. Her journey began with a daunting breast cancer diagnosis that led her through chemotherapy and fertility preservation. Despite the chaos, Kendra found comfort in her routine visits to Swig, sometimes even with a cold cap during treatments. In 2025, she became a recipient of the Save The Cups initiative, receiving essential financial support at a critical time in her life.

In Utah, Carrie McKee encountered Save The Cups in a life-changing twist of fate. A simple donation during her visit to a Swig location sparked a self-reflection that led her to book a long-overdue mammogram. Tragically, that appointment resulted in a breast cancer diagnosis, illustrating the campaign's vital role in fostering awareness and early detection.

Joy Skarka, a Florida native, faced her battle with grace despite immense grief. At just 32, she discovered a lump while supporting her husband through his own battle with cancer. Joy underwent a double mastectomy mere days before her husband's passing, highlighting the campaign's mission to relieve the financial strain on women like her. When Joy learned she was selected for assistance, it was a poignant reminder of the love and life she shared with her late husband in the home they built together.

These compelling stories underscore the mission of Save The Cups: to alleviate the financial burdens faced by women and families during an already challenging time.

How You Can Participate

The campaign runs until October 10, with proceeds from Swig’s fall menu and merchandise directed toward this noble cause. Customers visiting participating Swig locations can make an impact simply by rounding up their purchases. The campaign also encourages nominations for women currently fighting breast cancer, fostering a community of support that extends far beyond monetary contributions.

The Inspiration Behind Save The Cups

Nicole Robison, Swig's founder, launched the Save The Cups campaign driven by her personal battle with breast cancer. Diagnosed at 37, she faced imposing medical debt post-treatment, only to have an anonymous benefactor help clear her bills. This compassion instilled in her a commitment to give back and alleviate the burdens of others experiencing similar struggles. Nicole says, "I will never forget what it felt like to have someone step in during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Save The Cups aims to be that pivotal support for other women."
