Ali Zaidi Joins DoubleLine as Head of International Client Services

In a strategic move designed to bolster its international presence, DoubleLine Capital has welcomed Ali Zaidi as the new head of international client services. With a notable history at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was responsible for client relations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Zaidi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, which he will operate from the firm’s Dubai office.

Zaidi's primary responsibilities will involve leading a team focused on expanding DoubleLine’s business internationally. In his role, he will be tasked with aligning client objectives for returns and risk management with tailored active investment strategies that navigate both secular and cyclical changes in the market.

Ron Redell, president of DoubleLine, expressed his enthusiasm about Zaidi's appointment, acknowledging the firm’s status as a premier asset manager under CEO Jeffrey Gundlach. Before joining DoubleLine, Zaidi had a distinguished tenure at Goldman Sachs, lasting nearly 15 years. As managing director responsible for the MENA client business and emerging markets, he led a team of client service professionals stationed in London, Riyadh, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. His experience also extends to structuring and selling credit products and structured products, along with financial control of equities and derivatives, all of which he will leverage in his new position.

Zaidi holds the status of a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), reflecting his strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
