In a significant step towards enhancing energy security and operational efficiency, Clarke Energy, part of the Rehlko group, has embarked on a new collaboration with Capraci, a leading pasta manufacturer in Côte d'Ivoire. The company has secured a contract to design and deliver a cutting-edge 4 MW natural gas-fueled trigeneration power plant at Capraci's production facility in Abidjan.

This innovative project is set against the backdrop of Côte d'Ivoire's growing industrial landscape, where the demand for reliable energy solutions is crucial. The trigeneration system, which generates electricity, heat, and cooling all at once, promises to optimize operational costs while simultaneously improving the environmental performance of Capraci’s facilities. By integrating these three functions, Clarke Energy aims to maximize site efficiency and reduce the overall energy footprint.

The Power of Trigeneration



At the heart of this project is the use of INNIO's Jenbacher gas engines. These engines are renowned for their performance in demanding industrial environments, operating efficiently under high-utilization scenarios and variable fuel quality. Clarke Energy, an authorized distributor of these engines, will not only provide the power generation equipment but also handle the overall design and implementation of the plant's balance of systems.

One of the standout features of this trigeneration plant will be its ability to deliver a high-efficiency exhaust heat recovery system, which will produce superheated water at 130°C directly utilized in pasta production. Additionally, the system includes an absorption chiller that will generate 11°C chilled water for cooling applications on-site. These functions work synergistically to streamline production processes, elevate energy efficiency, and lower emissions, paving the way for a greener operation at Capraci.
