Explore the Wonders of Fuji via the New Cycling Tourism Initiative
Starting this October, Fujiyama City and Central Japan Railway Company, known as JR Central, are collaborating to promote cycling tourism through a pilot project. This initiative facilitates electric bike rentals from Shin-Fuji Station, allowing visitors to discover the stunning scenery around Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. It’s an excellent opportunity for travelers to immerse themselves in the beautiful landscapes and unique culinary offerings of Fujiyama City.
Overview of the E-Bike Rental
- - Duration of the Initiative: From October 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025
- - Operating Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (last rental at 3:00 PM)
- - Closed Days: Wednesdays and Thursdays (Note: Open on October 1 and 2)
- - Location for Rentals: South Exit of Shin-Fuji Station
- - Bicycle Type Available: E-bike (Mini Velo)
- - Rental Fees: 2,000 yen for 3 hours or less; 4,000 yen for more than 3 hours (tax included)

Exciting Events During the Initiative
In addition to e-bike rentals, a digital stamp rally will be organized through the TOKAI STATION POINT application. Participants can visit scenic spots and gourmet locations throughout Fujiyama City to earn exclusive rewards. This rally is open to everyone, even those who do not rent a bicycle.

- - For: Members of the TOKAI STATION POINT app (non-members must download the app and register)
- - How to Play: Visit designated stamp locations based on the provided model course, and use QR codes to collect digital stamps. Present the stamps at the end to receive fabulous rewards.

Travelers arriving at Shin-Fuji Station via the Tokaido Shinkansen are eligible for a 500 yen discount on e-bike rental. To benefit from this discount, proof of Shinkansen usage (such as an EX ticket or Japan Rail Pass) must be presented. The offer is valid for the day of travel and two days before or after.
