Experience a Unique Atelier Visit with Artist Makoto Aida and Savor His Homemade Nabe

In a rare opportunity, art enthusiasts will get the chance to visit the studio of renowned contemporary artist Makoto Aida in an exclusive event titled "Atelier Visit." Scheduled on December 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, this event is limited to only ten attendees. Not only will guests tour Aida's creative workspace, but they will also enjoy a delightful homemade nabe dish prepared by Aida himself.

Collaborating with Yoshio Suzuki, a seasoned art journalist and the navigator of the organization BiJutsu Henshubu., this second installment of the Atelier Visit series promises a deep dive into Aida's artistic world. Participants will be treated to stories behind his creations and insights into his thought processes, enriching their understanding of modern art.

Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with ticket sales beginning on November 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM. Tickets are priced at 7,000 yen, but registration with BiJutsu Henshubu. is mandatory before purchasing. Due to the limited number of tickets, potential buyers should act quickly to secure their spot.

About Makoto Aida
Born in 1965 in Niigata, Japan, Makoto Aida is a prominent figure in contemporary art, known for his unique ability to traverse the realms of society, history, modernity, and the distinctions between East and West. Graduating from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1991, he has gained considerable acclaim for his expressive range encompassing painting, photography, video, sculptural works, and performance art. Aida's thought-provoking style often challenges the status quo, earning him recognition across generations.

In 2025, significant highlights of Aida's work include the publication of his art book “Makoto Aida's Scrapbook” and the unveiling of a large-scale sculpture, "MONUMENT FOR NOTHING - Red Torii," at the newly opened Naoshima Contemporary Art Museum in May. Currently, he is diligently working on a new painting titled "Mixed Bathing Scene," which will tower at approximately 2.2 meters tall and 10 meters wide.
