The Space of Harmony - Inspired by MYAF2025

From November 17 to December 6, 2025, the WALL_alternative space operated by Avex Creator Agency in Tokyo will host the art exhibition titled The Space of Harmony – Inspired by MYAF2025. This event is part of the MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2025 (MYAF2025) and aims to showcase contemporary interpretations of Japanese aesthetics throughout the changing seasons.

A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity

The exhibition draws inspiration from the concept of "wa" (harmony), which represents the coexistence of diverse values and sensibilities. Utilizing traditional techniques and materials, the nine featured artists will reveal their unique perspectives on harmony through a modern lens. Each artist has been selected for their ability to create work that is both delicate and powerful, underscoring the ongoing relevance of harmony in today’s world.

Among the featured artists, Saya Irie, Hikaru Sawada, and Kanji Hasegawa will present their works, alongside artists like Yushi Dangami, who focuses on reconnecting living beings with the environment through his use of honeycomb materials. Others, like Hideji Terada, are committed to reflecting Japan's folklore and cultural nuances through their art.

The exhibition will also showcase the pieces of contemporary Bizen pottery artists such as Takashi Baba, Syo Fujita, Yuji Miura, and Taiga Mori. Each of these artists carries on the 1,000-year-old tradition of Bizen pottery while exploring new avenues and expressions that resonate with modern values.

Special Events and Collaborations

The exhibition will also feature a bar serving selections of Japanese natural wine that have been curated to match the event. Special offerings include the Nouveau wines from eight wineries across Japan, previously showcased at the MYAF2025.
