MPE Partners and Delphi Infrastructure Group Join Forces with JMF Underground
In a strategic move to bolster utility service capabilities, MPE Partners, also known as Morgenthaler Private Equity, alongside its portfolio company, Delphi Infrastructure Group (DIG), has announced the acquisition of JMF Underground. This acquisition is particularly significant as JMF is renowned for providing crucial underground utility services across South-Central Pennsylvania and neighboring states.
JMF Underground specializes in a range of services including horizontal directional drilling, trenching, boring, and excavation. These services are essential for maintaining and repairing underground electrical and natural gas infrastructures. The acquisition by MPE and DIG reflects their commitment to expanding their presence in the utilities sector and enhancing service delivery to a growing customer base.
Mark Crowson, the CEO of Delphi Infrastructure Group, expressed confidence in the acquisition, stating, "JMF Underground has emerged as a prominent provider of specialized underground solutions throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern United States. The consistent growth of JMF is a testament to its unwavering dedication to safety, reliability, and superb customer service under Joe Fisher's leadership. We are excited to partner with the JMF team and support their ongoing expansion as part of the DIG portfolio."
Joe Fisher, the Founder and CEO of JMF, also shared his enthusiasm, saying, "I am incredibly proud of the progress our team has made since JMF's inception in 2008. Joining forces with DIG—a reputable and established entity similar in vision—will empower us to better serve our customers and spur our next phase of growth."
The deal, which further consolidates DIG's portfolio alongside notable brands such as Precision Pipeline, SabCon Underground, and Allegheny Contracting, positions DIG as a leading player in providing underground infrastructure services to a diverse range of utility customers. Lukas Sontich, Vice President at MPE, remarked, "Integrating JMF Underground into the existing framework enhances our commitment to deliver quality services in a scalable manner. We are delighted to welcome Joe and the JMF team to our organization."
Churchill Asset Management and BMO Sponsor Finance facilitated financing to support this transaction, demonstrating a solid backing for the strategic growth of MPE and DIG.
