Ping An Insurance Releases Its Annual Sustainability Report for 2024

On April 7, 2025, Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. announced its yearly Sustainability Report, marking the sixteenth consecutive year the company has shared its progress in sustainability initiatives. With a focus on two principal themes: public welfare education and innovative service offerings, the report highlights notable advancements across five critical areas of strategic management, business operations, climate initiatives, community engagement, and governance practices.

Celebrating 30 Years of Support for Education

The first theme centers on Public Welfare Education, celebrating Ping An's milestone of 30 years in serving the educational sector, particularly in rural areas. As articulated by Ma Mingzhe, the Chairman of Ping An Group, the commitment to public welfare is unwavering as long as there is a need, which translates into continuous volunteer teaching efforts.

Since the inception of the first Ping An Hope Primary School in 1994, the company has dedicatedly supported rural education by improving school infrastructure, providing volunteer teaching, offering scholarships, and organizing educational summer camps. In 2024 alone:

• - 22 rural schools were renovated, enhancing learning environments for students.
• - Five schools received sports grounds, promoting physical education.
• - 987 volunteers contributed 6,767 teaching hours in various schools.
• - Scholarships aided 1,065 students, including supporting 65 to pursue higher education.

By the close of 2024, Ping An had established 119 Hope Primary Schools, training more than 20,000 rural teachers and impacting the education of approximately 310,000 students nationwide.
