IFS Appoints Kriti Sharma as CEO of Nexus Black

In a significant strategic move, IFS, a leading name in the sphere of enterprise cloud and Industrial AI software, has announced the appointment of Kriti Sharma as the new CEO of its Nexus Black division. This decision is seen as a critical step in reinforcing IFS’s leadership in the Industrial AI landscape, aiming to accelerate the development of innovative AI systems tailored for asset- and service-intensive sectors.

Kriti Sharma is a globally recognized figure in the field of artificial intelligence, boasting an impressive track record in developing enterprise AI products and advocating for responsible AI initiatives. Prior to joining IFS, Sharma served as the Chief Product Officer for LegalTech at Thomson Reuters, where she spearheaded significant AI transformations. She has previously held senior AI roles at Sage Group and GfK, and her extensive experience is further highlighted by her position as a non-executive board member of Rightmove PLC.

Sharma’s work has garnered numerous accolades, including recognition in Forbes 30 Under 30 and the UK Prime Minister's Points of Light award. Furthermore, she has been celebrated by the United Nations as a Young Leader for her contributions towards ethical and inclusive AI, underlining her commitment to innovation with a conscience.

In her role as CEO of Nexus Black, Sharma is tasked with leading the design and implementation of domain-specific, agentic AI solutions for industries ranging from manufacturing to energy and aerospace. The aim is to work closely with clients to deliver practical, scalable applications capable of addressing intricate, high-stakes challenges unique to these industries.

"GenAI was just the starting line. The real opportunity lies beyond generic tools. The revolution happens with contextual, agentic AI that solves deeply complex, industry-specific problems. From predicting critical asset failures to optimizing global supply chains, with Nexus Black we're not just building AI – we're building intelligence that works in the real world," commented Sharma, emphasizing her vision for the future of AI within the industrial sector.

Joining Sharma in this ambitious venture is Nick Vandivere, recently appointed as the Chief Innovation Officer for Nexus Black. Also hailing from Thomson Reuters, Vandivere will be instrumental in expanding IFS’s Industrial AI portfolio, focusing on pioneering use cases and strategic technology investments. Together, Sharma and Vandivere will work to expedite the development and delivery of agentic AI solutions across the IFS Cloud platform.

Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS, remarked on the importance of these appointments, stating, "This is a critical moment in our AI journey. We’re not just exploring what’s possible; we’re building what’s needed. With Kriti at the helm of Nexus Black and an exceptional team of leaders driving innovation across our business, IFS is uniquely positioned to deliver Industrial AI that is contextual, agentic, and deeply relevant to the industries we serve."

This leadership shift signifies IFS's ongoing commitment to investing in intelligent automation, real-time decision-making, and the creation of AI agents designed to address the challenges faced by industries that uphold critical infrastructures.
