Join the Fun and Educational Food Safety Seminar
As spring approaches, a new season brings with it a plethora of blooming plants and, unfortunately, the risk of accidental poisoning from toxic plants. To help residents avoid such mishaps, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is excited to announce the upcoming
Food Safety Seminar, which focuses on identifying harmful plants.
Identifying Toxic Plants
This year, participants will learn about the differences between edible plants and their toxic counterparts. For instance, the course will explore how to distinguish between
wild garlic (edible) and
daffodil (toxic). The hands-on experience offered in this seminar allows attendees to observe real specimens, making the learning process not only informative but also enjoyable.
The seminar is designed to deepen participants' understanding of food safety through a combination of lectures and direct observation of plants. By engaging with knowledgeable experts, attendees will gain crucial insights into the plants that thrive in their surroundings.
