SAGA Metals Announces Significant Milestones in Titanium and Vanadium Drilling Project
In an exciting development, SAGA Metals Corp., headquartered in Vancouver, BC, has completed a comprehensive drilling campaign at its Radar Titanium-Vanadium-Iron Project, located near Cartwright, Labrador. The company reports that the drilling campaign, which spanned less than ten months, concluded with a total of 22,432 meters completed across 85 drill holes. With this campaign, SAGA Metals anticipates releasing its maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) in the coming months.
MRE Program Highlights
The MRE program has recorded remarkable successes, highlighted by a 100% mineralization hit rate across all drilled holes. Each of these holes intersected significant oxide mineralization, yielding broad intervals measuring between 100 to 485 meters of semi-massive oxide and rhythmic oxide layering, reinforcing the geological basis for resource definition. Notably, several holes in the Trapper North area delivered impressive assay intervals approaching 500 meters. For instance, hole R-0085 reported 495.6 meters grading 37.86% Fe₂O₃, 5.51% TiO₂, and 0.273% V₂O₅, including a standout 68.2-meter section with even higher grades.
Additionally, the Trapper South area also showcased strong results, with hole R-0046 delivering 127.9 meters at 52.94% Fe₂O₃. These outstanding grades have strengthened the continuity of mineralization throughout multiple resource drill sections, painting an encouraging picture for SAGA's resources.
Geological Insights and Resource Advancement
SAGA's extensive drilling efforts have not only revealed strong mineralization but have also established a comprehensive geological and analytical foundation essential for resource modeling. The database developed from 13,789 samples and rigorous lithological logging ensures thorough support for future resource assessments. With all assay results now in hand, SAGA is preparing to hand this validated database over to GeoGlobal LLC, a firm tasked with producing the independent NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate and technical report, expected by the end of Q4 2026.
The ongoing exploration of the Radar Property, which spans an impressive 29 square kilometers, includes the Trapper, Falcon, and Hawkeye Zones. These areas collectively hold great potential for further discoveries, underpinned by both the geological findings from the recent drilling campaign and the strategic infrastructure in place, such as access roads and proximity to a deep-water port.
Commitment to Future Development
Infrastructure advantages further reinforce SAGA Metals’ position in advancing its projects toward development. The project's accessibility year-round, coupled with regional power supplies, positions SAGA favorably as it looks to transform its exploration success into tangible outputs. Notably, the company emphasizes the strategic importance of titanium, vanadium, and iron in meeting industrial demands, particularly in defense, aerospace, and major infrastructure sectors.
“Our team has worked diligently through extreme conditions to finish this milestone,” remarked Michael Garagan, CGO Director of SAGA Metals. “With consistency in the quality of our findings, we are optimistic about the next steps toward our maiden resource estimate.”
What's Next?
SAGA's commitment to rigorous exploration and resource estimation ensures that they remain at the forefront of critical mineral discoveries in North America. As they transition from discovery to resource definition, the development of the Radar Project could play a pivotal role in fulfilling the market's requirements for essential materials. The anticipation around the upcoming independent mineral resource estimate amplifies expectations for the potential progression of the Radar Project and positions SAGA Metals as a key player in the industry.
With a robust portfolio focused on critical minerals, including their Wolverine Heavy Rare Earth Element Project and Double Mer Uranium Project, SAGA Metals clearly aims to secure its foothold in future mineral sourcing for North America’s clean energy initiatives.
