Confetti Revamps Ticket Cancellation Protection Service for Customers

Confetti Announces Renewal of Ticket Cancellation Protection Service

On July 1st, Long Run Planning Inc., based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will unveil a renewed version of its ticket cancellation assurance service, known as "Confetti Anshin Ticket Service." This initiative emerged from a vision to make entertainment more accessible, especially amid the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

For a nominal fee of 110 yen (tax included) per ticket, regardless of the original ticket price, customers can enjoy comprehensive refund protection. This upgrade allows for a broader range of situations wherein refunds can be requested, enhancing the overall experience for ticket purchasers.

Service Overview and New Features

Confetti's service will remain applicable for all tickets purchased via its platform, including a variety of performances and concerts. Customers simply need to apply for the assurance within five days of purchasing their ticket by filling out a designated form. Should unforeseen circumstances render them unable to attend an event, proof of their situation—such as medical receipts—must be provided to receive a full refund for the ticket purchase.

It's important to note that certain exclusions do apply; for instance, tickets purchased without a member login, or those reserved via telephone or in-person, are not covered under this program, nor are live-streaming performances.

The renewal also introduces changes that facilitate a more extensive coverage of scenarios that qualify for refund requests. Consequently, event organizers will not bear any financial burden since the service payout comes solely from Confetti itself.

Addressing Customer Concerns

By alleviating fears related to ticket purchases, Confetti aims to encourage more people to engage in live events such as theater productions and concerts. Additionally, the service is expected to reduce the risks associated with unauthorized ticket resale in secondary markets. Confetti remains committed to improving the ticket purchase experience for consumers and event organizers alike.

Comparisons with Other Services

Within the industry, Confetti's cancellation protection stands out when compared to other ticket support services. For instance, resale services typically do not refund the ticket cost if buyers cannot be found, whereas Confetti's assurance guarantees refunds provided qualifying conditions are met, regardless of the event's popularity.

When contrasting with ticket insurance programs, Confetti offers a unique feature: a flat fee of 110 yen applies irrespective of the ticket price, simplifying the process for consumers who might otherwise face variable insurance premiums.
