Fender Custom Shop Presents Limited Edition Brian Fallon '59 Telecaster® Custom
Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC), based in California, has announced the launch of the
Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom. This exclusive model is a tribute to Brian Fallon, a celebrated songwriter in the rock world. The guitar embodies Fallon's deep connection with the Telecaster, achieving a remarkable balance between raw resonance and sweet, delicate tones.
Brian Fallon gained prominence as the lead vocalist and guitarist of
The Gaslight Anthem, breaking into the spotlight with the critically acclaimed album
The ’59 Sound in 2008. Influenced by greats like Bruce Springsteen and Joe Strummer, his music beautifully intertwines rhythmic guitar work with nostalgic lyrics, garnering a passionate and loyal fanbase. The
Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom harkens back to the kind of guitar that Brian used during the formative years of The Gaslight Anthem, reflecting the instrument that he has cherished throughout his career.
In a statement, Fallon shared, "The switch, volume, and tone – that’s everything. It’s all up to how you use it. Optimizing your capabilities is crucial, and this guitar is perfect for that. Whether you need a hammer, it serves its purpose. A house cannot be built without one."
Developed in close collaboration with the Fender Custom Shop team, the
Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom features various specifications that passionately reflect the creative spirit of Brian’s illustrious career. It boasts a two-piece alder body with double binding finished in striking Journeyman Relic® black lacquer, complemented by a 60s-style oval “C” shaped maple neck and flat-laminated dark AAA rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with
Righteous Sound’s “Fourth Man” pickups and Dual Stack HS Tele® wiring, it delivers a blend of the midrange growl from the bridge pickup and the warm, clear tones of the split-coil neck pickup, creating a dazzling balance for the mid-position tone.
Chase Paul, Director of Product Development at Fender Custom Shop, commented, "Brian’s honest and unembellished songwriting has positioned him as one of the most influential artists in recent decades. Through our collaboration, we have meticulously recreated the details of his beloved guitar, delivering a tool that will inspire fans in their playing."
The
Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom boasts premium features, including a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard, 21 vintage upgrade (45085) frets, a 3-way switch, an RSD brass saddle on a ’63 Telecaster® bridge, vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut, and an American Vintage ’59-’64 wing string tree.
