Nationwide Tour of 'Senritsu Meikyuu: Mai' Announced!

The thrilling VR horror attraction, 'Senritsu Meikyuu: Mai,' is set to embark on a nationwide tour starting in November 2025. This attraction, which thrilled over 20,000 visitors during its initial run at Tokyo Tower from July 19 to August 31, 2025, promises to deliver an unparalleled horror experience across multiple cities, beginning with Hirakata Park in Hirakata City, Osaka, and Korinbo in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa.

In collaboration with Fuji-Q Highland and Dentsu Inc., ABAL (Headquartered in Meguro, Tokyo) is expanding the reach of this spine-chilling adventure, which is based on the popular horror maze 'Senritsu Meikyuu' at Fuji-Q Highland. The initial success at Tokyo Tower included an astonishing 1.5 million photos taken by visitors, reflecting the strong demand for a broader experience.

The Journey to the Nationwide Tour

During its Tokyo Tower run, the attraction achieved remarkable attendance, leading to the decision to bring the experience to more locations due to popular demand. With Dentsu's strategic partnership, the team at ABAL aims to deliver this innovative experience to horror enthusiasts throughout Japan. This tour is designed to maximize accessibility for those eager to explore this expansion of fear and enigma.

About 'Senritsu Meikyuu: Mai'

Inspired by the gripping narrative of 'Senritsu Meikyuu – Yami ni Utsutsu Byoutou,' the new storyline offers a unique take on horror, showcasing the 'behind the scenes' stories within a fully original plot set in a sprawling virtual maze. Participants will navigate through an expansive 1 km labyrinth divided over eight floors, enhancing the sense of dread and uncertainty that accompanies the experience.

ABAL's exclusive patented spatial extension technology powers 'Senritsu Meikyuu: Mai,' allowing users to freely roam in an augmented virtual space that expands beyond reality. With real-time engagement and the capability for up to 50 participants to experience fear collectively, this event guarantees an immersive journey through a twisted and treacherous pathway where dread lurks around every corner.

Technology Behind the Horror

The event utilizes ABAL's innovative XR platform 'Scape®,' which transforms limited physical space into an expansive virtual maze. Visitors will encounter countless eerie hallways and unsettling hospital rooms that convey a uniquely immersive sense of terror, allowing for experiences that break the boundaries of reality. With advanced features, attendees can share their fear in real-time while mixing with other avatars, offering a thrilling social element to the experience.

The 'Scape®' platform, supported by the Tokyo NEXT 5G Boosters Project, integrates various applications and operating systems, enabling a seamless experience even with large groups. By leveraging this groundbreaking technology, ABAL is not merely creating an experience; they are redefining the limits of entertainment by offering a glimpse into the potential of XR.
