A significant life event rekindled his artistic spirit, prompting him to express himself through art once more. This resurgence directed him towards creating designs centered around circular motifs and drawing inspiration from the flora and fauna surrounding him. His work draws heavily from traditional Japanese patterns, particularly Wazarashi (和更紗), geometrical designs, and intricate embroideries of flowers and butterflies.

In addition to mandala artwork, Ouryu engages in embroidery and paper-cutting design, allowing him to explore various mediums. His contributions to the artistic community include exhibitions of paintings, embroidery designs, and creative designs for CD albums.
