Speyside Equity's Strategic Acquisition of TAPCO Tube Company for Growth in Steel Market
Speyside Equity Completes Acquisition of TAPCO Tube Company
In a significant industry move, Speyside Equity Advisers has announced the successful acquisition of The TAPCO Tube Company, a well-established player in the manufacturing sector, known for its steel tubing and building products. This strategic deal is poised to bolster Speyside’s portfolio while also setting the stage for TAPCO’s future growth.
Incorporated back in the 1940s, TAPCO originally specialized in jack and column supports. Over the years, it has expanded its operations and expertise, transitioning into electric resistance welded (ERW) steel tubing and diversifying into various other building products. The TAPCO Tube division primarily serves construction contractors, distributors, and OEMs, while its Akron Building Products subsidiary focuses on supplying jacks and columns for the home improvement retail market across the nation.
With the completion of this acquisition, Speyside is determined to unlock TAPCO’s potential by investing significantly in the company’s resources, including its workforce and manufacturing infrastructure. Nicholas Lardo, Managing Director at Speyside, emphasized TAPCO’s strong market presence and customer loyalty, noting the ample opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and expand product offerings. This new partnership aims not only to improve plant throughput but also to increase the range of value-added products that TAPCO provides.
David Schrader, President of TAPCO, expressed excitement about this new chapter in the company’s history, which will be defined by a collaborative approach with Speyside.
