March of Dimes and Pampers Honor Student Nurses with Scholarships for Maternal and Infant Health

March of Dimes and Pampers® Award Scholarships to Nursing Students

In an inspiring initiative aimed at addressing the critical maternal and infant health crisis in the United States, the March of Dimes has recognized six outstanding nursing students with its prestigious Nursing Scholarships for 2025. This initiative, supported generously by Pampers®, has been honoring nursing students for over 25 years. Each recipient will receive a $10,000 scholarship, which will aid them in their pursuit of advancing health care for mothers and babies.

Cindy Rahman, the President and CEO of March of Dimes, praised the recipients for their dedication to improving care for mothers and infants. “These students exemplify the future of maternal health, embodying an unwavering commitment to better health outcomes for families across the nation,” she stated, highlighting the importance of this scholarship program in strengthening the workforce dedicated to maternal and infant health.

The alarming statistics surrounding maternal health in the U.S. underscore the urgency of this effort. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that more than 80% of deaths related to pregnancy are preventable, showcasing the urgent need for initiatives like these that focus on cultivating skilled professionals in the field. By investing in the education of future nurses, the March of Dimes and Pampers are laying the foundation for improved care and support for families.

Alissa Fitzgibbons, the PG Baby Care Senior Communications Director for Pampers, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Our mission at Pampers has always been to care for every child, and that starts with ensuring a healthy environment for their parents. We are thrilled to partner with March of Dimes to support these passionate nurses and midwives who are dedicating their careers to enhancing maternal health.”
