NÜCHI by WPÜ Redefines Evening Dining Experience in Naha, Okinawa
NÜCHI by WPÜ, a music bar located in the heart of Naha, Okinawa, is set to enhance its culinary offerings this April. Starting from April 1, 2026, they will introduce a revamped menu featuring fresh food selections and signature cocktails, while extending their operating hours to begin at 5 PM. This shift aims to create an inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy an early dinner and a vibrant night out.
Emphasizing Local Ingredients
At NÜCHI, the essence of the food lies in the careful selection of local produce and the craftsmanship of the producers. Ingredients sourced from well-respected local businesses—such as
TESIO at Koza Gate 2 and the
Cheese Shop in Naha—are painstakingly curated and reimagined for the bar setting. The new menu includes delicacies like locally crafted Wagyu beef jerky, shrimp ajillo, and herbal hummus made with
fùchibā—a traditional Okinawan herb. This innovative approach merges regional flavors with Asian culinary techniques, emphasizing fermentation and aging processes.
Adding to the excitement, NÜCHI’s cocktails have been redesigned to highlight Okinawan spirits, using local ingredients like
awamori (a type of Okinawan sake),
habushu (snake liquor),
hiwasa modoki (a Okinawan spice), and
inamuduchi miso. These unique combinations embody the spirit of the island, ensuring that every cocktail tells a story of Okinawa through its diverse flavors and playful presentations.
