On August 13, 2025, Sega rolled out an exciting update for the popular online RPG, "Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis ver.2" (referred to as NGS ver.2). Among the new features is the limited-time quest, "Simulation Exercise: Summer Swift Battle." This quest promises players high-octane thrills from August 13 to August 20, just before the maintenance begins.

New Limited-Time Quest: Simulation Exercise: Summer Swift Battle

This latest quest centers on mastering your skills while gliding through the waters on a floating board, all in pursuit of defeating the fearsome boss lurking in the depths. Following up on the earlier quest, "Simulation Exercise: Refreshing Summer Battle," players will encounter even more obstacles on their path, making it essential to hone your floating board maneuvers and techniques.

Additionally, a concurrent event, Arks Records, is running alongside the quest, encouraging players to aim for high scores as they navigate the challenges presented in "Summer Swift Battle." Brand-new title tasks have also been introduced—complete these challenges to earn prestigious titles that showcase your achievements.

Exciting Revival AC Scratches

Sega isn’t stopping with just the new quest. Two revival AC scratches are making their debut, drawing from fan-favorite items:

1. Summer is here! Swimsuit Revival
Availability: August 13, 2025 - September 3, 2025
This scratch features previous swimsuit costumes and a variety of summer-themed lobby actions and accessories. Players have the chance to unlock charming total wear for characters "Aina" and "Manon" through the bonus rounds — don’t miss out on these delightful additions!

2. Extra AC Support Select Aug'25
Availability: August 13, 2025 - September 3, 2025
This option makes a comeback featuring the powerful "Lahze" special abilities. To celebrate the "Super Dream Festival," the drop rate for "Paluft" items has been doubled, along with an exclusive exchange ticket for those who reach the bonus milestone of twelve draws.

Revival SG Scratch: SG Support Item Select Aug'25

The revival of the SG Support Item Select Aug'25 allows players to use SG to access valuable consumables and assistive items geared towards enhancing preset abilities. Notably, among the bonuses is the reward of "no material required for preset ability enhancement," enabling players to further wield their newly obtained weapons and armor.
