Voltage Energy Unveils Pre-assembled Wiring Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026

From June 23 to 25, Voltage Energy Group, a leader in the Electrical Balance-of-System (EBOS) solutions for large-scale solar projects, made waves at Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich. Their showcasing of innovative solutions, particularly the pre-assembled wiring products, LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS, highlights the company's commitment to advancing solar technology and installation efficiency.

Meeting the Demands of Large-Scale Solar Projects

In the evolving landscape of large-scale solar projects, developers face increasing pressure to optimize installations amidst tightening resources and urgent timelines. Voltage Energy is expanding its portfolio beyond individual wiring products to provide comprehensive system-wide pre-assembled wiring solutions. This new approach caters to a variety of applications, enhancing project design, reducing installation complexities, and ensuring long-term system reliability.

Comparatively, these pre-assembled solutions can decrease cable usage by up to 33% and reduce installation time by 50%. Bob Slack, the Chief Technology Officer at Voltage Energy, articulated the growing demands on solar project developers and EPC companies, stating that integrated system-level solutions are vital for simplifying deployment and lowering the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) of projects.

Innovative Wiring Solutions: LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS

The innovative offerings from Voltage Energy include LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS. LYNX PLUS is specifically designed for high-current applications. It supports main line capacities of up to 400 mm² (853 A) and promises to minimize voltage drop by 34% compared to standard 240 mm² models. Additionally, it eliminates the need for traditional grouping enclosures, further simplifying installation, operation, and maintenance.

On the other hand, IBEX PLUS addresses the critical mid-range current capacity from 70 to 168 A. Constructed from a highly flexible 97% aluminum cable, it is approximately 41% lighter than conventional copper solutions. This lighter weight results in reduced capital expenditures (CapEx) by as much as 27%. The product allows for hybrid copper-aluminum interface options, enhancing design flexibility while optimizing materials and logistics.

Compatibility and Future-Proofing for Solar Projects

Voltage Energy’s approach integrates innovative flexible aluminum conductors, optimized electrical schematics, and architectures compatible with 2 kV voltage systems. This strategy not only boosts installation efficiency but also caters to the evolving demands of large-scale solar projects. LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS have achieved UL 2 kV certification in the U.S., with ongoing European certifications set to support a broader adoption of these advanced EBOS solutions across Europe.
