Tony Sacre Appointed as New CEO of Allinial Global, Marking a New Era in Leadership

Allinial Global Introduces New Leadership

Allinial Global has officially announced the appointment of Tony Sacre as its new Chief Executive Officer. This strategic decision follows a comprehensive global search aimed at attracting top talent from various sectors. Tony Sacre's vast leadership experience spans more than 25 years, and he has held key positions within major financial institutions including ANZ Banking Group, Commonwealth Bank, HSBC, JP Morgan, and National Australia Bank. His previous role was as Chief Executive at Bentleys Australia and New Zealand, a respected mid-tier accounting firm and a longstanding member of Allinial Global.

Transition to New Leadership

As Sacre takes over the leadership from Mark Koziel, who successfully led Allinial Global prior to accepting a position with the AICPA CIMA, he becomes the first CEO from the Asia-Pacific region in the association's history. This transition emphasizes Allinial Global's commitment to global leadership that empowers its member firms across different regions. Sacre expressed his honor in stepping into this role and highlighted the importance of forward-thinking leadership and international collaboration in today's global environment.

Vision for the Future

In his statement, Tony Sacre stated, “The necessity for a forward-looking leadership approach and cross-border collaboration has never been greater. I look forward to working with our incredible member firms to drive innovation, enhance service capabilities globally, and position Allinial Global as the preeminent association of independent accounting and consulting firms worldwide.” His vision aligns well with the current demands of the business landscape and reflects an understanding of the evolving needs of independent firms.

Supporting Member Success

Jim Wallace, the CEO of BPM LLP and chair of the Global Executive Board, remarked, “With his extensive international experience, strategic mindset, and deep ties to the Allinial Global community, Tony Sacre is ideally suited to lead our association forward. His awareness of the challenges and opportunities faced by Allinial Global member firms emphasizes our mission: to empower businesses for sustainable success.” The encouragement of collaboration and innovation under Sacre’s leadership aims to enhance Allinial Global's position in key international markets while maintaining its strong presence in the U.S.

Acknowledgment of Prior Leadership

As the organization embarks on this new chapter, the global executive board extends heartfelt gratitude to Steve Varley, who has ensured a smooth transition during the leadership search process. Allinial Global is committed to offering world-class service, fostering international business opportunities, and ensuring that its members remain at the forefront of an ever-evolving profession in accounting and consulting.
