Okayama University Graduation Ceremony 2026

On March 25, 2026, Okayama University, located in Okayama City, Japan, held its graduation ceremony for the academic year 2026 at the Shigetoh Arena Okayama. The event was a momentous occasion where a total of 3,266 students, both undergraduates and graduates, were honored as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives.

Certificates and commemorative gifts were presented to the representatives of these distinguished awardees.

President Nasu addressed the graduates, sharing insights rooted in the concept of 'Fuyukuryo'—the idea that certain values remain constant even in times of change. He emphasized the importance of resilience and adaptability amid a rapidly evolving society. Leveraging wisdom from Mencius, he reminded attendees that challenges and adversity serve as the foundation for growth, underscoring that personal effort determines whether one’s chosen path bears fruit. “True learning begins here,” he encourged, inspiring graduates to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

Among those representing the graduates, Ayaka Tominaga from the Faculty of Dentistry delivered a heartfelt reply, alongside Ding Xue from the Graduate School of Health Systems Integration Science. Their speeches echoed the sentiments of their peers, reflecting on shared experiences and the bonds forged during their years at the university.

Outside the venue, the atmosphere was filled with joy and nostalgia as graduates took photos with family and friends, cherishing their accomplishments and bidding farewell to their university days. The event not only celebrated individual achievements but also highlighted the sense of community fostered at Okayama University.
