With her extensive background in corporate leadership, venture capital, and public service, Hao is set to play a pivotal role in enhancing Flagship's ecosystem.

Yvonne Hao comes with over 25 years of diverse leadership experience, having previously served as the Secretary of the Executive Office of Economic Development for Massachusetts. In this capacity, she actively collaborated with industry leaders to stimulate job creation and promote economic growth. Hao also co-chaired the Massachusetts AI Strategic Task Force, where she championed efforts to position the state as a frontrunner in applied artificial intelligence. This approach to growth dovetails perfectly with Flagship's mission of establishing pioneering companies that address pressing global challenges.

In her new role at Flagship, Hao is tasked with leading key organizational functions that underpin the firm's broad array of companies. Her responsibilities will encompass human resources and talent acquisition, legal affairs, information technology, communications, and government relations. As a General Partner, she will also contribute to the Resource Allocation Committee and collaborate with Flagship's growth partners, bringing her considerable expertise in company building and investment strategies.

Prior to her governmental role, Hao co-founded Cove Hill Partners, an investment firm managing around $5 billion, primarily focusing on technology investments. She also served as COO and CFO of PillPack, successfully steering the company through its sale to Amazon in 2018. With experience as an Operating Partner at Bain Capital, she held interim CEO and COO positions, working closely with portfolio companies to create effective governance structures.

Moreover, Hao has been an influential board member for various public companies, including Gentherm and ZipRecruiter, and has contributed her insights to nonprofit organizations such as the Beth Israel Lahey Health System and Williams College. Her multifaceted experience positions her uniquely to lead within Flagship’s innovative framework.
