Shaslin's Summer Special Chilled Noodles
Starting July 1st, Shaslin, operated by Matsufuji Foods, will launch exciting new chilled noodle variations for the summer season across all locations (excluding some stores). This season marks the introduction of
‘Shirasu Oroshi Hiyakake’ and
‘Oni Oroshi Hiyakake’, adding to the already popular menu item,
‘Myoga Hiyakake’, which continues to draw loyal customers.
A Refreshing Take on This Summer's Favorites
Shaslin's
‘Hiyakake’ has become a summer staple, featuring a rich yet refreshing soup made from carefully extracted seafood broth, served over specially prepared, chilled straight noodles. This unique dish perfectly balances the salty, savory flavors with the summer heat, making it a highly anticipated offering that customers look forward to each year.
This summer, we are thrilled to introduce two tantalizing new dishes that highlight traditional Japanese summer flavors, ensuring a delightful experience for your taste buds.
New and Continuing Menu Items
1. Shirasu Oroshi Hiyakake (New Product)
This luxurious dish is topped with plump domestic shirasu (baby sardines) and freshly grated daikon radish, creating an exquisite topping that sits atop the cool soup. The rich aroma and saltiness of the shirasu combined with the refreshing daikon radish creates a perfect fusion with Shaslin’s robust seafood broth. It is the perfect dish to bring coolness with every bite, undoubtedly a star of this summer!
2. Oni Oroshi Hiyakake (Simultaneous Release)
This dish features a generous topping of
‘Oni Oroshi’, coarsely grated daikon. The absorbent nature of the
‘Oni Oroshi’ soaks up the soup's umami flavors, creating a refreshing texture that offers a delightful twist when slurped alongside the noodles. Simple yet highlights the natural flavors and spiciness of daikon, making it an appetizing choice.
3. Myoga Hiyakake (Continuing Popular Item)
Since its debut in May, the
‘Myoga Hiyakake’ dish, with its crunchy texture and refreshing aroma, has soared to the top of the popularity charts. By continuing its sale through July, it delivers a fantastic balance to the rich, chilled soup, ensuring that customers can enjoy this beloved dish alongside the new offerings.
Experience Ultimate Summer Luxury with ‘Hiyakake Chazuke’!
A quintessential way to enjoy Shaslin's chilled noodle offerings is through the popular
‘Hiyakake Chazuke’. After finishing the noodles, simply add
‘rice’ (150 yen) into the concentrated and indulgent soup. The incredible ingredients of the new
‘Shirasu Oroshi’ and
‘Oni Oroshi’, alongside
‘Myoga’, will permeate the rice, transforming it into a delicate, flavorful Japanese chazuke that is effortlessly enjoyable till the very last drop. It’s a suggestion from Shaslin that promises a luxurious and light finish.
