Digital Entertainment Asset (DEA), located in Tokyo, Japan, is collaborating with Growth Ring Grid (GRG) to launch the social contribution game PicTrée in Okinawa. Starting February 1, 2026, residents will engage in various community missions under the series titled "My Electric Pole Battle in Okinawa." The main missions will include the "Naha City Tourism Mission," the "Kokusai Street Shopping Mission," and the "Island Tour Mission."

This initiative aims to intertwine local tourism promotion with social participation, enhancing community involvement while exploring Okinawa's unique cultural and natural attractions. The project has garnered support from local businesses and organizations, including Okinawa Electric Power Company, NTT West Japan, and NTT Field Tech, enhancing its potential impact further.

Okinawa is not only home to Naha City, a bustling urban center, but also boasts a variety of beautiful tourist spots and islands. As interest in revitalizing tourism alongside addressing social issues grows, DEA and GRG are leveraging their experience with PicTrée to contribute positively to the local community. This venture reinforces the commitment to support social infrastructure inspections through community-driven efforts, encouraging residents to actively participate while discovering their surroundings.

Objectives


The primary goal of this initiative is to examine the feasibility of a model that harmonizes tourism and community engagement. Participants can expect three distinct special missions that invite them to explore the rich diversity of Okinawa:

  • - Naha City Tourism Mission
  • - Kokusai Street Shopping Missions A, B, and C
  • - Island Tour Missions

Through these missions, participants will not only learn about Okinawa but also be rewarded for their contributions to the area.

Details of Each Mission


1. Naha City Tourism Mission
This mission allows participants to explore Naha’s prominent attractions.
Dates: February 1, 2026 (Sun) 7:00 AM - March 22, 2026 (Sun) 6:00 PM
Photo-taking Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Key Locations: Shikinaen, Fuzhou-en, Shuri Castle, and more.
Rewards: Capture all ten sites to earn 6,000 reward coins (approximately $500).

2. Kokusai Street Shopping Mission A, B, C
Participants will photograph electric poles in and around Kokusai Street. Three variants of missions will be available for different shopping districts.
Dates: February 1, 2026 (Sun) 7:00 AM - March 22, 2026 (Sun) 6:00 PM
Photographing Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Rewards: Complete each mission by photographing all specified poles to earn 2,400 reward coins (approximately $200).

3. Island Tour Missions
This mission covers various attractions across Okinawa's islands, assigning unique spots to photograph on each island.
Dates: February 1, 2026 (Sun) 7:00 AM - March 22, 2026 (Sun) 6:00 PM
Photographing Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Rewards: Successfully photograph all points on each island to achieve 6,000 reward coins (approximately $500).

How to Participate


To join a mission, follow these steps:
1. Download the PicTrée app.
2. Register with your email address to proceed to the map screen.
3. Tap on the "Shooting Mission" in the lower left to select either the Tourism or Kokusai Street missions.
4. Click "Challenge" to initiate your mission.

About PicTrée


PicTrée is a competitive team-based battle game where players capture images of local infrastructural assets, such as telecommunication poles and manholes. Players select teams and earn points by checking in and photographing these assets, competing against other teams. Participants can earn rewards, including Amazon gift cards and DEAPcoin (DEP).
