Skyservice™ Introduces Global Wi-Fi Solutions for Bombardier Challenger Aircraft

Skyservice™ Unveils Global Wi-Fi for Challenger Aircraft

Skyservice Business Aviation, recognized as a leading entity in North America’s business aviation landscape, has taken a significant leap forward in enhancing aircraft connectivity. The company recently introduced a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the innovative Gogo Galileo HDX system, specifically tailored for Bombardier Challenger models CL604, CL605, and CL650. With the official approval from Transport Canada, Skyservice has established itself as the first Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) service in North America to successfully implement this next-generation global broadband connectivity solution.

Benjamin Murray, the President and CEO of Skyservice, articulated the growing need for connectivity in modern business aviation, stating, "Connectivity is no longer a luxury, it's a necessity for today's business aviation clients." He expressed pride in delivering high-performance, future-ready connectivity solutions that keep Challenger owners and operators globally connected.

The introduction of the Gogo Galileo system marks a pivotal moment in the Canadian business aviation sector. Skyservice has already completed two successful installations of this system in a Challenger 605 aircraft and is actively advancing certification with regulatory bodies such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC). This extensive project aims to encompass approximately 570 Challenger aircraft, thereby reinforcing the global reach of Skyservice’s initiatives.

For existing Challenger 604, 605, and 650 aircraft equipped with the Gogo AVANCE system, transitioning to the Gogo Galileo system is straightforward and efficient. Installation can be completed in as little as seven business days, minimizing downtime and ensuring a smooth upgrade process.

For owners or operators interested in installation or seeking access to the STC, Skyservice Avionics can be contacted directly at the provided email address.
