On July 18, 2026, the beloved Animate Ion Matsue, located in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, will undergo a stunning transformation as it moves from the first to the second floor of the Ion Matsue Shopping Center. Since its inaugural opening, this store has been a haven for anime, comic, and gaming enthusiasts across the region.

Having originally opened in 2015, Animate Ion Matsue was the last among Animate's 125 stores to welcome customers, achieving the ambitious goal of establishing a physical presence in all 47 prefectures of Japan.
