FranklinWH Announces Entry into European Energy Storage Market for Homes

FranklinWH to Launch Energy Storage Solutions in Europe

FranklinWH Energy Storage Inc. has officially declared its ambition to enter the European residential energy storage market, with plans for a 2027 launch. This announcement coincided with its showcase of innovative energy systems at Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich, addressing the pressing needs of both utility providers and individual homeowners as they face rising electricity costs and demand for improved energy flexibility.

Background on Energy Needs in Europe

The electrification of transportation and home heating, alongside an increasing reliance on renewable energy sources, is fueling a significant demand for home energy storage solutions. Utilities across Europe are ramping up decentralized energy resource programs to help manage peak demand and enhance the reliability of the power network. Homeowners are keen on reducing energy expenses, ensuring backup power, and gaining better control over their energy usage.

The FranklinWH System

FranklinWH's residential system integrates battery storage, solar energy, electric vehicle charging, and energy management into a single comprehensive platform. Offering capacities ranging from 15 to 225 kilowatt-hours through its intelligent aGate controller, the system provides emergency backup power, enables self-consumption of solar energy, and optimizes energy costs. Central to this solution is a lithium iron phosphate-based technology that simplifies the installation process through its all-in-one design. Additionally, the accompanying energy management software adjusts charging and discharging operations based on household consumption, electricity pricing, and weather conditions.

Experience from the U.S.

With experience drawn from over 25 virtual power plant programs and demand response initiatives in the United States, FranklinWH is well-positioned to make a tangible impact in Europe. In the U.S., clients are financially compensated when their stored energy is fed back into the grid during peak periods.

FranklinWH’s network comprises more than 4,000 certified installation partners across the globe, specializing in deploying residential storage solutions, training, and customer service. This established network will support the company's entry into the European market.

Vincent Ambrose, the Chief Commercial Officer at FranklinWH, emphasized the dual opportunity presented by the current market conditions: “European homeowners are looking to lower their energy bills, while energy providers need reliable flexible resources. It’s not a matter of separate challenges; it’s a single opportunity viewed from both sides of the meter.”

Future Directions

At Intersolar Europe, FranklinWH is engaging with energy suppliers, distributors, installers, and energy aggregators to build its European partner network ahead of its product launch in 2027. Details regarding distribution partnerships, market availability, and further product information will be shared prior to the company’s official market entry.

FranklinWH will be present at Hall C3, Stand 130 during Intersolar Europe 2026, held from June 23 to 25 at Messe München, Munich.
