The Japan Riders Forum, in collaboration with the promotion councils from Ishikawa, Toyama, and Shizuoka Prefectures, is excited to announce the inaugural Three Sacred Peaks Rally 2026. Set to take place from October 10 to 11, 2026, this event will provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for motorcyclists to explore Japan's iconic mountains: Mt. Fuji, Mt. Tate, and Mt. Hakusan. This adventure serves as both a thrilling challenge for riders and a celebration of Japan’s rich cultural heritage associated with these majestic peaks.

Event Overview



The Three Sacred Peaks Rally, inspired by Japan's ancient mountain worship, offers riders an exciting chance to experience not only the thrill of riding but also to immerse themselves in the beautiful landscapes and rich history of the participating regions. The riding route, referred to as the Chubu Japan Triangle Route, is designed to challenge participants while also highlighting the stunning natural beauty and cultural significance of these three sacred mountains.

As riders traverse this route, they will connect with the historical legacy of Japan, creating a unique experience that is both adventurous and enlightening.

Rules and Points Criteria



Participants must adhere to specific conditions to successfully complete the rally:
1. Starting Time: Begin from the designated starting point on October 10, 2026, after 7:30 AM.
2. Waypoint Visits: Visit at least two designated SWPs (Specified Way Points) in each participating prefecture, totaling six or more.
3. Checkpoints: Stop at no less than one of the specified checkpoints (CP) to accumulate points.
4. Point Total: Collect a minimum of 30 points according to the rally's scoring criteria.
5. Finish Registration: Register at the finish line by sunset on October 11, 2026.

Launch Event



The journey begins at the base of Japan's tallest peak, Mt. Fuji. Riders will gather in the serene setting of the Fujisan Gotemba Koshigata Sanguchi, participating in a ceremonial start of the rally, before setting off towards their first checkpoints. The launch event details are as follows:

On the second day of the rally, participants will come together for a mid-event gathering in Toyama Prefecture, where they can share experiences and form connections with fellow riders. Local hospitality events will add to the warm atmosphere:

Finish Line Celebration

Finish Registration: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a final registration cutoff at 5:24 PM (sunset time).

Checkpoint Details



Riders will follow a flexible route by checking in at various waypoints:
  • - SWP: Total of three points for county-specific required visits.
  • - CP: Drop by checkpoints for an additional three points.
  • - WP: Acquire points at various waypoints located throughout the route.
  • - Hidden Points: Discover hidden waypoints based on clues for extra incentives.

Participation Criteria



Participants must hold a valid motorcycle license and have access to a GPS-enabled device for tracking and point collection. Safety, adherence to traffic laws, and respect for local regulations are paramount:
  • - All motorcycles must be legally registered and insured.
  • - Minimum engine displacement of 251cc is required.
  • - Participants should possess a working odometer for accurate mileage tracking.

Registration and Entry Fee



Registration will open in late July 2026, and all interested riders are encouraged to sign up early as spots are limited to 2,000 vehicles. The entry fee is:
Solo entry: 6,776 yen
* Tandem entry: 9,776 yen (additional processing fee applies).
