INDAQUA Successfully Secures €358 Million Financing for Expansion and Growth

INDAQUA Secures €358 Million Financing

INDAQUA, a significant player in the water and wastewater treatment industry in the Iberian Peninsula, has announced a successful funding of €358 million from Schroders Capital and Santander. This financial reinforcement is set to enhance the company’s capital structure and position it for continuous growth.

This recent achievement follows a period of strong growth in INDAQUA's primary market, Portugal, as well as its successful expansion into Spain. This highlights the robust stance the company has taken in recent years as a leading Iberian water platform.

Pedro Perdigão, the CEO of INDAQUA, remarked, "This funding milestone is a significant achievement for INDAQUA. It strengthens confidence in our business model and enables this rapidly growing company to recalibrate its capital structure while continuing to deliver high-quality water services to the communities we serve."

INDAQUA manages long-term municipal water concessions, serving over 810,000 residents in Portugal. In Spain, the company oversees water supply networks and maintains a diverse portfolio of long-term municipal and industrial water contracts. Additionally, INDAQUA offers water-efficient use projects, operational maintenance services, and technical assistance, encompassing the entire urban water cycle.

A global leader in reducing Non-Revenue Water (NRW)—a critical measure of water loss—INDAQUA has achieved record low leakage levels by focusing on operational efficiency. Complementing this strategy, the company integrates renewable energy solutions, including photovoltaic installations and on-site cogeneration, promoting further sustainability.
