On January 23, 2025, John Deere & Company (NYSE: DE) announced the selection of six innovative startups to join its Startup Collaborator program for the year. This initiative, which began in 2019, aims to enhance interactions between John Deere and emerging companies that provide cutting-edge technologies relevant to the agriculture and construction sectors.

Commitment to Innovation


Deere's commitment to fostering innovation comes at a crucial time as the industry faces ongoing challenges that require new solutions. Jahmy Hindman, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at John Deere, highlighted the company’s dedication to developing customer-centric solutions through partnerships with startups. He stated, "The John Deere Startup Collaborator Program represents our ongoing dedication to innovation and customer-centric solutions. By collaborating with forward-thinking startups, we aim to explore new technologies that can bring significant value to our customers in agriculture and construction."

Participating Startups


The six companies selected for the program include:
1. Array Labs - A space technology firm focusing on creating a constellation designed for frequent, high-quality 3D imaging of Earth's surface.
2. Landscan - This digital twin technology company combines soil data and remote sensing signals to create analytical insights for land management.
3. LIDWAVE - A pioneering company developing a 4D LiDAR-on-a-chip solution, providing advanced sensing for automation, mapping, and inspection.
4. Presien - A physical AI company collaborating with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to offer safety and productivity enhancements on worksites through plug-and-play solutions.
5. ReSim - This firm specializes in embodied AI testing, focusing on automating hardware evaluations that speed up the development process for autonomous technologies.
6. Witricity - Known for its innovation in wireless charging technologies, Witricity is removing the challenges associated with plug-in charging for commercial and passenger vehicles, paving the way for future autonomous systems.

Fostering Collaboration


Colton Salyards, Principal of Corporate Development at John Deere, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the seventh cohort of startups. He emphasized that the program is aimed at fostering collaboration to tackle real challenges in the agriculture and construction arenas.
