Enjoy a Taste of Australia this Summer at Hilton Tokyo

As summer approaches, Hilton Tokyo is gearing up to host its much-anticipated beer garden, titled the Sunset Beach Australia Beer Garden, starting from May 15 through to September 30, 2026. This unique venue promises not just refreshing drinks but an immersive Australian experience, all set against the backdrop of the hotel’s stunning rooftop terrace overlooking the vibrant skyline of Shinjuku.

A Celebration of Australia

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Japan-Australia Friendship Treaty, this year's theme is inspired by the breathtaking Sunset Beach of Australia. Guests will be able to enjoy a delightful variety of beverages including premium beers, wines, and unique cocktails crafted at a new rum bar. Coupled with a menu that encapsulates the diverse culinary landscape of Australia, this beer garden offers an opportunity for visitors to indulge in the luxury of Australian flavors while basking in the warm summer evenings.

Australia, known for its gorgeous beaches, iconic wildlife such as kangaroos and koalas, and rich multicultural heritage, will be properly represented in this beer garden. Visitors can look forward to a relaxing atmosphere paired with an inviting menu designed for easy sharing and enjoyment, ensuring that everyone can partake in the authenticity of Australian dining.

The Venue and Atmosphere

Located on the hotel’s 7th-floor rooftop, this terrace presents a panoramic view of the Shinjuku landscape, highlighted by the twinkle of city lights as day transitions to night. Not only will guests be surrounded by stunning scenery, but the setting aims to blend a carefree beach vibe with the tactile comforts of luxury. A central tiki bar enhances this tropical atmosphere, adorned with surfboards and vibrant decorations reminiscent of Australia.

Out of the total seating for 186, there are 48 premium lounge chairs available, perfect for those looking for an upscale dining experience while sharing the joyful ambiance with friends and family.

The Offerings

For a fixed price, guests can select a 2-hour free-flow plan starting at ¥7,000 per person, which includes a selection of beers—such as Asahi Super Dry, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, and various Australian craft beers—as well as cocktails available at the rum bar. The menu features an exciting range of Australian cuisine curated by Executive Chef, Mander Madhav. The Aussie platter includes delicious items such as the Bunning's sausage sandwich, a staple at Australian weekend markets; sesame chicken wings served with a special Vegemite sauce; and market-style dumplings reminiscent of Sydney’s diverse Asian food scene.

Other culinary options include Classic Potato Fries and Caesar Salad with Smoked Cod, ensuring a varied selection that caters to diverse palates.
