Background of Our Assistance

As reported in various outlets, the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake caused significant damage to housing, transport infrastructure, and essential services such as commercial facilities and medical providers. Our goal is to facilitate a clearer understanding of the local circumstances and to aid in information exchange among municipalities, corporations, and responsible organizations.

Historically, Safie Inc. has provided support during numerous crises such as earthquakes, heavy rains, typhoons, and infectious disease outbreaks. During the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, we delivered SIM-integrated cloud cameras to major roads leading into Kumamoto City, enabling real-time visualization of traffic conditions and facilitating rapid resource allocation decision-making.

In 2024, after the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, we once again provided audiovisual equipment to affected municipalities and the Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to aid in recovery operations. Additionally, during the flooding disaster in Niigata Prefecture in August 2022, we supplied cloud cameras to evacuation districts in Murakami City.

In medical contexts, we have integrated the portable Safie Pocket2 Plus camera into emergency vehicles at the Hyogo Prefectural Harima Himeji Medical Center, ensuring that real-time audio and visuals from emergency scenes can be shared with hospital staff for faster patient readiness. Throughout the pandemic, we also provided a special rental support package for healthcare facilities, allowing them to use cloud recording cameras for monitoring patients at a distance.

Within our company, we established a Disaster Support Office and joined initiatives like the “Disaster Prevention DX Public-Private Partnership Council” to strengthen our response capabilities.

Safie is committed to contributing to society through our technological services. As we respond to the Kumamoto Earthquake, we aim to ensure safety and speed up recovery efforts in affected areas as part of our ongoing social contribution activities.
