Neolix Takes Significant Step in Expanding Its Autonomous Delivery Services in Europe Amid Rising Logistics Costs

At the recent Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) Global Summit 2026 in Vienna, Neolix's Executive President Will Zhao participated in a panel with industry leaders, focused on how proven robotic technology can bolster the supply chain within the retail sector. Neolix's presence is highlighted by the showcase of its flagship RoboVan at EUROBIKE 2026 in Frankfurt.

"By emphasizing autonomous solutions for both the last and middle miles—which account for a majority of logistics costs—we are redefining supply chain economics," Zhao stated during the discussion at CGF. He elaborated that each kilometer of operation feeds back into their AI system, enhancing its performance and bringing about improved efficiency and resilience.

With over 21,000 autonomous delivery vehicles operating across 15 countries, Neolix has logged upwards of 170 million kilometers in autonomous travel, establishing itself as a significant player in the logistics landscape. Major deployments are already in place across multiple cities, including fleets of over 2,000 vehicles in a single urban area.

The pressures faced by retailers stem from various factors, making the last mile—the journey from a distribution center to the final destination—the priciest and most challenging segment of logistics. Labor costs continue to pose significant issues, and guarantees for delivery windows are becoming more problematic. Consequently, as e-commerce continues to expand, operational pressures escalate, driving retailers to seek out solutions that embrace efficiency without sacrificing service quality.

Neolix’s vehicles are designed to tackle these challenges by functioning in both middle-mile and last-mile scenarios, enabling increased operational efficiency while working round the clock. Their design is fortified to handle different weather conditions and traffic scenarios. Instead of leaning on high-definition maps, Neolix employs a mapless navigation system, which accelerates deployment into new environments and allows continuous improvement through operational data.

The focus on economics and reliability forms the foundation of Neolix’s autonomous solutions. Zhao commented that retailers are in need of operational integrations that adapt to their specific local conditions and generate efficiency that can be measured over time.

Neolix’s growth strategy in Europe revolves around localization, compliance, and development of key partnerships. The company has received TÜV Rheinland certification and European E-MARK compliance, allowing for broader engagement in various European markets. Neolix is forging partnerships across countries including Germany, Portugal, Denmark, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, and Belgium.

Understanding the compliance necessities of enterprise customers, Neolix collaborates with global cloud infrastructure providers to meet specific data residency and governance standards. Earlier this year, they announced a significant alliance with Caetano Mobility, linking Neolix’s autonomous logistics capabilities with Caetano’s engineering proficiency and mobility ecosystem positioned in Portugal.

Zhao highlighted that Europe hosts some of the most advanced passenger mobility infrastructures. He expresses confidence that the next significant opportunity lies in building smart delivery solutions for goods.

As discussions at CGF and EUROBIKE evolve, the focus has shifted from questioning the technical feasibility of autonomous deliveries to assessing how to deploy these systems effectively, considering compliance standards and unit economics. For Neolix, the pathway to growth in Europe lies in translating its vast commercial experience into localized deployment initiatives in collaboration with regional partners, skillfully adapting to specific infrastructure and regulatory needs while enhancing local capabilities necessary for large-scale implementations.
