Nikka Home's Career Education Initiative
Nikka Home Co., Ltd., a leading company in the home renovation industry based in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, is taking significant steps to inspire future generations through its
'Living Classroom' program. This initiative aims to educate children about architecture, housing, and the environment, providing them with a valuable opportunity to contemplate their future careers. Starting in the 2024 fiscal year, Nikka Home plans to implement original lessons in elementary/middle schools and after-school clubs across the country. The program is receiving substantial interest from educational institutions and communities alike.
July Outreach Class Activity Report (Yokohama City, Kanagawa)
On July 9, 2025, Nikka Home conducted an outreach class at an elementary school in Yokohama, targeting home economics curriculum hours. The class was divided into three segments of 45 minutes each, focusing on the following content:
- - Part 1 (First Session): A lecture on architecture and housing.
- - Part 2 & 3 (Second and Third Sessions): Design experience workshops, featuring drawing exercises.
One of the most praised aspects of the sessions was the design workshops, where current professionals from Nikka Home served as instructors. Children interacted with these professionals, asking questions while sketching their envisioned
“dream floor plans.” This hands-on experience allowed all students, including many undertaking drawing for the first time, to complete their designs successfully, thanks to the guidance of professionals.
Living Classroom as a Career Education Support Initiative
Leveraging its considerable expertise gained in the field of home renovations, Nikka Home offers outreach classes tailored to a broad audience of children aged from elementary school to high school, who may be pondering their future career choices. The program's flexibility allows it to cater to the specific grade levels and needs of various schools, making it a highly adaptable educational offering.

Addressing Societal Issues through CSR Activities
Currently, the opportunities for learning about architecture and living environments are limited, largely due to a shortage of specialized educators. Nikka Home is committed to supporting educational environments and broadening the future career choices of students. Through outreach classes and volunteer activities, the company makes significant social contributions by providing:
- - Lecture and seminar formats
- - Design workshop formats
- - Career talks by professionals
Furthermore, Nikka Home actively accepts middle school students for workplace experiential learning at its showrooms (examples include Edogawa, Hachioji, and Suginami sales offices). These educational offerings can be customized to fit school curricula and after-school activities, and inquiries from educators are welcomed.
