ACLS Open Access Book Prizes 2026 Finalists Announced



On May 21, 2026, the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) proudly revealed the finalists for its prestigious Open Access Book Prizes and the Arcadia Open Access Publishing Awards. This year, 30 exceptional titles have made it to the final round, showcasing outstanding contributions in the fields of humanities and social sciences. A total of six winners—one from each category—will be awarded substantial cash prizes of $20,000 for authors and $30,000 for publishers, aimed at promoting further open access publishing initiatives.
