In a significant move to bolster its leadership capabilities, WellBe Senior Medical has recently appointed four new key members to its leadership team. This strategic expansion comes as the organization continues to scale its personalized, in-home medical care services across the United States, marking a crucial phase in its growth journey.

The CEO of WellBe, Dr. Jeff Kang, expressed excitement about these appointments, stating, "WellBe is entering a pivotal chapter of growth, and I look forward to having these four leaders join our team. Their experience and passion in value-based care are exactly what we need to scale our impact and continue raising the bar for geriatric care nationwide."

Meet the New Leaders

1. Shafina Shehnaz - Chief Financial Officer
Shafina has an extensive background in healthcare finance and operations. As a seasoned executive, she has successfully led cross-functional teams and spearheaded various strategic initiatives. Her notable accomplishments include overseeing fiscal health at Optum Health and revitalizing regional operations focused on practice efficiency. Shafina is deeply passionate about improving healthcare delivery through strong financial management and operational excellence.

2. Sabita Lahiri - Chief Transformation Officer
Joining as Chief Transformation Officer, Sabita brings nearly ten years of leadership experience in clinical strategy and innovation. She previously served as Senior Director of Finance at Landmark Health, where she developed clinical models that positioned the organization as a leader in value-based care. Her insights and strategic acumen are crucial as WellBe aims to enhance its internal processes and broader clinical reach.

3. Dr. Katrina Booth - Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Booth, a board-certified geriatrician, steps into the Chief Medical Officer role with a rich background in value-based care. Her most recent position was Chief Quality Officer at Optum at Home, where she managed various services, including in-home urgent care. Dr. Booth's commitment to providing personalized, patient-centered care aligns perfectly with WellBe's mission to deliver high-quality care while treating patients as individuals rather than numbers.

A Personal Touch

Dr. Booth articulated her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, "I love being a geriatrician because I get to connect with people as individuals and hear their unique stories. What makes WellBe so impactful is that we're taking care of patients on a personal level. We're taking care of them as people first and a patient second. It can be hard to find that type of care, and WellBe’s team truly changes lives."

4. Cammile Bird - Senior Vice President of Engagement
Cammile brings a wealth of experience in patient engagement within value-based care models. At Daymark Health, she established a patient engagement department that successfully launched oncology care services. Her prior experiences at Nest Health and Landmark Health highlight her ability to bridge clinical excellence and accessibility, making her an invaluable addition to the WellBe team.
