This capacity is spread across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, demonstrating a vigorous expansion trek in response to the surging global demand for artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and digital infrastructures.

The announcement was made during the Datacloud Global Congress 2026, where Hussain Sajwani, the founder of the DAMAC Group, emphasized the essential role of digital infrastructure in supporting economies, businesses, and governments. According to Sajwani, "DAMAC Digital was created to serve as this foundational base for the age of AI and cloud." The company aims to operationalize 2 GW by the end of Q1 2028, illustrating ambitious growth plans in a sector witnessing rapid transformation.

Over the past five months, DAMAC Digital has opened ten new sites with eight more expected to become operational by the end of 2026. By the first quarter of 2027, the company is on track to achieve over 700 MW of operational capacity across more than 14 sites. Backed by a growing workforce exceeding 600 employees, DAMAC Digital's expertise spans design, procurement, construction, operations, and various supporting functions across three continents. The company operates in several European countries, including Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and the Nordic regions. In Asia, it is expanding in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
