Matt Miller graduated with a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Florida Atlantic University in 2001. He joined U.S. Sugar in June 2002 as a Programmer/Analyst and has since held numerous leadership roles within the company over the last 23 years. His impressive trajectory includes positions such as Data Center Manager, IT Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, Director of IT Applications, and most recently, Senior Director of IT Business Solutions.
Miller has been instrumental in spearheading various groundbreaking technology initiatives at U.S. Sugar. Notably, he has been leading the upgrade to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition through the RISE with SAP program. His expertise has also contributed to the establishment of a robust private mesh WiFi network that spans 200,000 acres of the company's fertile South Florida farmlands.
Upon assuming the role of CEO in 2023, McDuffie identified technology as a pivotal factor in achieving a competitive edge as the foremost low-cost producer of refined sugar in the United States. Early last year, the company spotlighted its commitment to technological advancement by announcing an upgrade to the latest SAP S/4HANA cloud solution, a move designed to improve operational efficiency alongside enhancing sustainable agricultural practices.
Matt Miller is a native of Belle Glade, Florida, where he resides with his wife, Myranda, and their two children, Tyler and Hannah. Their story exemplifies U.S. Sugar's commitment to family values and community engagement.
