TRUNK TRAVELERS Meets ethicarnival at Takanawa Gateway



Join us for an exciting two-day event at Takanawa Gateway Station’s Gateway Park, taking place on January 10th and 11th, 2026. This initiative is a collaboration between URBAN RESEARCH Co., Ltd. and Newman Takanawa, presenting the second edition of TRUNK TRAVELERS themed around the New Year, coinciding with the concept of "seasonal consumption."

During this special event, attendees can look forward to a variety of engaging activities inspired by New Year traditions. One of the highlights includes interactive content where visitors can participate and express their dreams for the year ahead through artistic endeavors. With numerous food vendors and brands championing ethical and sustainable practices, visitors can expect not only shopping but also workshops and memorable experiences.

Activities


1. Collaborative New Year's Calligraphy and Monument Creation
Unleash your creativity as you write or draw your aspirations for the new year on a white tarpaulin that will form a unique monument. Join in the fun with a colorful New Year’s decoration activity, including traditional kadomatsu (Japanese New Year pine decoration) coloring. Each piece created will be transformed later into a pouch as part of a follow-up workshop at THE GOODLAND MARKET Takanawa.

- Writing tools will be provided, but please be cautious as ink might stain clothing.
- Our company will not bear responsibility for any stains.

2. Interactive Fukuwarai (Lucky Face Game)
Experience the merriment of the New Year with a playful game of Fukuwarai, where participants wear a blindfold and collaboratively create funny faces. This simple yet delightful activity is perfect for families and friends to share laughter and welcome good fortune together.
