On December 14, 2024, EVE Energy, a global leader in lithium battery technology, celebrated a significant milestone in its expanding operations with the launch of a new manufacturing facility in Kulim, Malaysia. This event is part of the company's strategic growth plan aimed at enhancing sustainable development and meeting the increasing global demand for renewable energy.
The facility is the company's 53rd and is expected to play a crucial role in bolstering EVE Energy’s international manufacturing and supply capabilities. Specializing in the production of cylindrical lithium batteries, the Kulim plant will cater to various applications such as electric tools, cleaning devices, and electric bicycles. Moreover, it is positioned to serve as a center of technological and productivity excellence, playing a key part in the transition to renewable energy and carbon-neutral development.
Liu Jianhua, Co-Founder and CEO of EVE Energy, highlighted that the establishment of the Malaysian facility would strengthen collaboration between China and Malaysia in the renewable energy sector. He emphasized that the new facility boasts advanced technology and significant production capacity, which will enhance EVE Energy's ability to meet the global supply and service demands of its customers.
With over two decades of expertise in lithium battery R&D and manufacturing, EVE Energy has shipped more than three billion units worldwide. This remarkable growth is supported by a diverse product offering tailored to varied scenarios, systems, and sizes. The Malaysian site is equipped with cutting-edge automation facilities and is on track to produce 680 million cylindrical batteries annually.
